Nothing ensures a long and trouble-free life for your engine more than a continuous supply of fresh, clean motor oil.
Oil changes used to be a straightforward process. However, as engines have become more sophisticated, the regular old oil change has had to keep up. Many engines today require lower weight, synthetic-blend oil to increase fuel efficiency.
Most engines today also use oil pressure to work a series of intricate mechanical systems that shut down engine cylinders, change the power produced by the engine, and even change the timing of the engine on the fly.
Without that continuous supply of fresh, clean oil, your vehicle may not start, may not accelerate, and may not idle properly.
That’s right… your car my not start because you’re a little low on oil or you’re a little late on that oil change.
Don’t worry though, we’ve got you covered.
We use Eco Ultra Synthetic-Blend Oils
Today’s Technology for A Better Tomorrow
The Closed Loop Process
The manufacturer of Eco Ultra®, Universal Lubricants, collects used oil and re-refines it into high-quality base oil. This purified Group II+ base oil is blended with new, superior additives to produce high-quality products for your passenger car/light truck; products that can be found at car dealerships, oil-change service shops, auto parts stores, and better retail locations across the U.S.
Used oils never wear out – only the additives wear out. The base oil properties remain intact. So, they reclaim used motor oil from their customers. This is the oil that is drained during an oil change from automobiles, industrial vehicles, heavy-duty engines, and railroad engines.
Universal’s re-refinery is one of only four such facilities in the United States. Here, they take the used oil and remove impurities through a series of processes. This process produces high-quality Group II+ base lube stock.
The re-refined base oil is blended with superior additives to produce the Eco Ultra® line of lubricants. Eco Ultra oils meet the latest API SN and ILSAC GF-5 specifications.
Universal’s re-refinery allows them to close the loop on used oil and new oil purchases and offer a sustainable product line of hydraulic oils, ATFs, and engine oils. Because of that, we at Done With Care Auto Repair have the unique opportunity to use high-quality finished products that are derived from re-refined base stocks, which will lower dependency on foreign oil, reduce depletion of natural resources, and eliminate waste material.
Re-Refining Turns a Non-Renewable Resource Into A Renewable One
Making a difference
The United States produces approximately 1.3 billion gallons of used oil each year, and only about 20% of it is re-refined. But Universal Lubricants, manufacturer of Eco Ultra®, is helping to change that. New, innovative methods of re-refining reduce environmental threats and create many more positive outcomes.
When comparing re-refining to refining crude oil, re-refining has many benefits
- Re-refining used oil takes up to 89% less energy than refining crude oil.
- Re-refining oil produces up to 65% less environment-impacting emissions than refining crude.
The average four-quart oil change using Eco Ultra® helps preserve our natural resources while reducing our need for foreign oil by two barrels.
